Hello Families,
Our great start continues.
This week students have been learning about reading signposts, where students identify important places in a text to stop and ask questions.
In social studies, we have used the U.S. and world maps and learned how to use the map legend to read map information from symbols and text.
Our science lessons have focused on studying the land differences between the U.S. regions. Students enjoyed using google maps to visit places around the country. They are recording their observations using an organizer on Google Classroom.
Next Wednesday, September 12, we will have a curriculum night from 6:30-7:30. Fourth grade will start in the music room with a presentation on what kids will learn in 4th grade and other expectations for our fourth graders. I hope to see you there. Mrs. Johnson will visit to tell about our new Project Lead The Way science unit for the second marking period. After the presentation teachers will be available in our classrooms for Q & A…
Check our Grade 4 webpage for other important information about 4th grade.
