Our first grade 4 field trip is tomorrow, Wednesday, April 11.
Students need to bring a lunch. They will be eating early, 10:30 ish. You may want to send a separate snack for our arrival in the afternoon.
We will leave school at 8:45, and we will return at 1:15 and have an afternoon snack and short recess.
In science, we will begin a engineering project challenge, where students will attempt to create a lighted blow-soccer stadium. The challenging part will be to get enough light.
We could use a few more shoebox-sized boxes (stadium models). So, please send in any extras you might have.
Social studies projects are moving along at various speeds. Students should complete their second essay today. You can check your child’s progress on Google Classroom.
I will be sending home a fact fluency progress report later this week. (I hope) Please sign & return it and encourage practice at home if your child has not yet mastered facts under 100.
