Today, we enjoyed a yummy green snack. Thanks, Stella! After that, we went to the science room with our buddies to share some of the magnetic properties and interactions that we have been learning. (See picture) Later, fourth graders used compasses to find a code to unlock a treasure during our indoor compass challenge. Finally, students continued working on social studies research for the Southeast Region of the United States. On Tuesday, we will be drafting our research projects in the computer lab. Check out your child's work on Google Classroom. Most students should be able to draft either one or two essays by next week.
Extra credit work can be done associated with our studies of the history and geography of Connecticut. A good written response to one of the research articles from the Where I Live; CT website would be a couple of paragraphs typed or neatly written. If the essay has ideas that are supported by the text, and show that the student has furthered his/her learning about CT, the student can earn a higher mark on the report card.
