Dear Fourth Grade Families,
It has been a wild wintery ride this week! It is great to hear about all of their adventures outside in the snow this week.
In math we have been working on standard 4.NF.5 and 4.NF.6. In these standards students are working on understanding how to add tenths and hundredths in fractional form. We have learned that in order to add fractions you must have a common denominator. Students have been working on creating a visual model to support their thinking and see how the can make equivalent fractions with common denominators. (See Below) At the end of the week we began investigating decimal notation.
Have a great weekend!
